Anthony is a BAFTA and AWGIE award-winning screenwriter, script producer, playwright and author

The projects Anthony has written and directed have won numerous international awards including a Primetime Emmy, an International Digital Emmy, two BAFTAs and five Australian Writer’s Guild awards.

One of Anthony’s first short films (STOP, 2000), was nominated for the Palmes d’Or for short films at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival. One of Anthony’s first TV assignments was writing and directing two spin-off web series for the hit US television series LOST, one of which won a Primetime Emmy Award for Best Interactive Television (Dharma Wants You, 2009).

Anthony has been a script producer and script editor on numerous award-winning TV projects. He was the development executive and script editor on Safe Harbour which went on to win the 2019 International Emmy Award for Best Mini-Series. He was also the script producer on Five Bedrooms (Season 1) and Nowhere Boys (Season 4).

Anthony has also been the creative director and lead writer on several award-winning interactive projects for major international film and television productions including Spooks Interactive (2008), winner of two BAFTAs for Interactive Television, and Primeval Evolved (2009), winner of the 2010 International Emmy Award for Best Digital Program, the prestigious John Hinde Award for Science Fiction Writing (Australian Writer’s Guild) as well as numerous other awards.

In 2022, Anthony’s first play, The Norman Mailer Anecdote was a finalist in the Queensland Premier’s Drama Awards and was long-listed for the 2023 Griffin Award. The play had a sold out world premiere season at Queensland Theatre’s Door 3 in 2024. It is published by PlayLab.

His book Beyond the Hero’s Journey was released by New South Publishing (UNSW) in 2021. It has so far been released in Australia, the UK, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, China and South Korea.
